Getting from the Airport to the City Center
From Phnom Penh International Airport
Phnom Penh International Airport is the largest international airport in Cambodia, located 10 km northwest of the city center. With this distance, it typically takes between 30 minutes to 1 hour to travel to the city center.
- By Bus: This is the cheapest public transportation option to explore the city. The fare is around 0,4 USD. Currently, there are only 3 bus routes in the city. From the airport, you can take bus route number 3 to the city center. The bus route includes stops at Phnom Penh International Airport – Russian Boulevard – Makara Bridge – Kampuchea Krom Boulevard – Phsar Thmey Market – Norodom Boulevard – Night Market (on 106 Street).
- By Airport Express Bus: This is also a convenient option to easily reach the city center. The one-way fare is 5 USD per person. You can purchase tickets at the ticket counters in the airport or directly on the bus.

Outside the exit doors, there are taxi registration counters to the city center. Right outside the airport, you can easily find taxis. The prices for registered taxis and independent taxis are the same, around 9 USD for a one-way trip to the city center. Meanwhile, the price for a motorcycle taxi ride is around 1-2 USD.
